Today Digg suffered a massive uprising of its user base. You could Digg as a city that was once prosperous and now that city is crumbling around the people that made it what it is, "The Users".

Digg pulled a story late last night about a certain HEX code that was capable of breaking HD-DVD. The problem is Digg tried pulling the story quietly without explanation. To put this into a real world situation it would be like a government sending out a secret police in the middle of the night to eliminate certain individuals from causing problems. Unfortunately for Digg, its user base did notice, and boy howdy did they revolt.

Somehow I not only made the front page of Digg, but I also managed to get into the top ten. As most figured it out, I am definitely not an English major by far, but I decided that I will update with another post of what other diggers said I missed, and ill give you credit also. Also as for the question on how I got my comment rating, I only saw one article that had a list of top commenter's and I have no clue how he did it. I basically just went through and grabbed each comment and added and subtracted to get the total in excel.

I've been a daily visitor of Digg for almost a year now, I've posted around 300 comments, I usually get positive feedback, I think my total is in the 3600 range. I usually never submit stories and usually focus on commentating, but today I will submit a story of what I have learned and experienced from Digg.

This is only the tip of the iceberg for what Digg has been for me for almost a year. I still enjoy crawling over to Slashdot and reading some in depth articles on technology, yet when it comes to variety, Digg is the place to be.
